How to use the Lock Screen countdown
ClockJoy can sit in three places: a Home Screen widget, a Lock Screen Live Activity, and Dynamic Island. Opening the app shows a fresher estimate. System surfaces refresh on iOS’s schedule.
Before you start
Set work hours and pay inside ClockJoy. The countdown has nothing to compute without those two inputs.
Add a widget
- Touch and hold the Home Screen, then tap Edit or +.
- Search for ClockJoy.
- Choose a size and place it on the Home Screen or Today View.
Widgets are not per-second timers. That limit applies to every iOS widget.
Live Activities
Start a Lock Screen / Dynamic Island Live Activity from the app while a shift is in progress. When the day ends or you stop the activity, it leaves the system surfaces.
Hide the amount
If the phone sits face-up at a desk, turn on privacy mode so widgets and Live Activities do not show the dollar figure. Share cards hide real amounts by default.
